Minimally invasive breast augmentation with Mia Femtech™

We place the Mia Femtech™ breast implant in front of the chest muscle. With this very gentle method, no breast tissue is sharply dissected, so that the predominant portion of the mammary gland (including nerves, blood vessels, and support ligaments) remains connected to the chest wall. The implant simply nests behind the mammary gland and in front of the chest muscle (the "Nesting effect").

The implant is inserted through a discreet 2.5 cm incision in the underarm, resulting in a nearly invisible scar once healed.

Conventional breast augmentation via the axilla has a reputation for being problematic, due in part to the increased risk of complications and the difficulty of positioning the implant. In contrast to conventional methods - which operate via the axilla and require opening and cutting the chest muscle at the top - the Mia Femtech™ method is a particularly gentle alternative.

Through an incision of only about 2.5 cm and the creation of a narrow channel, the upper breast tissue is preserved. This allows not only precise control over the implant position, but can also reduce the risk of complications and shorten recovery time for patients.

In addition, the creation of the implant pocket, into which the implant is placed, is significantly more precise with the balloon dissection technique. The two balloons used during the procedure are identical in size. This way, an almost identical space is prepared on both sides, which is not possible manually with conventional methods.

During the procedure, we insert a round, diamond-shaped Ergonomix2^® Diamond implant, which can achieve more projection and breast volume than a conventional implant of the same size. Capsular contracture is a condition that may develop when the body naturally forms a protective capsule around a breast implant. This is a normal response to any foreign object in the body. The issue arises when this capsule hardens, which can lead to discomfort or pulling pain. Treatment: If advanced capsular contracture occurs, the implant and parts of the hardened capsule can be removed. A new implant can be inserted if the patient wishes.
